Foood?

Hey!

So yes it has been forever since I have posted but that would be because I haven't really been able to do much shooting. Hopefully things will be taking a good turn for the better. A few projects that are in the works that hopefully will lead to some more. I can't say anything about them yet but fingers crossed that things go well!

So as most of you know I acquired a job in the Oak Room as a hostess. Now who wouldn't want to work in the Plaza?! Lets just say I have met tons of amazing people and hopefully a few clients :P but more to come on that.

We have a wonderful Chef named Eric Hara who just had his opening for his third restaurant in the city. He decided to take me under his wing and let me shoot his new restaurant, 9 Restaurant, for him. I have a little preview of what I have been shooting lately!

I hope everything has a great Thanksgiving :)

Wedding: Daryl and Jessica

Hey everyone,

So yes these have kind of taken me a long time to get up but I am really excited to share with you the photographs from Daryl and Jessica's Wedding! They are such an adorable, loving couple and a pleasure to photograph! Here are a few of my favorites from the day!

Daryl and Jessica: Thank you for letting me be apart of your special day! Congratulations!!

As for life in the city...I recently started working at the Oak Room in the Plaza as a hostess and in just one week I got to meet some pretty interesting people. Just to name a few of our guests..
Donald Trump, some players from the Knicks, the real Eloise...just to name a few.

Sunday night I got the pleasure of working with Brian Marcus! Fred Marcus Photography is definitely one of the most amazing, sought after photographers I know of. Working with Brian while he photographed at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Columbus Circle was an extremely rewarding experience. Without saying much he taught me so much and just his personality made the night so much more enjoyable. Thank you Brian!

Hopefully I will be able to show some images from the wedding..still in the works though.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Adorable little Camden!

Hey everyone,

Well life in New York has been very interesting. I am really in love with being in the city! It is all still a work in progress here but I think it is all working out well.

This weekend I got to go back to MA and have a photo filled weekend. Friday I photographed a Sweet 16 Birthday Party, Saturday I got to photograph Daryl and Jessica Brunelle's Wedding, and Sunday I got to photograph Camden. It was a great weekend that was busy but it was nice to see some familiar faces around. (pictures to come from all of them!)

So I have been edited a lot lately and decided to get the small stuff out of the way first. I just finished doing some editing of my shoot with Camden and his mom, Meghan. Camden was an adorable little 2 year old boy who just loved playing in the puddles and with sticks. This was his first session so he was a little shy in front of the camera and didn't really know what to make of me coming along while he played outside. Although there were not many opportunities for me to photograph him looking at me I still love a lot of the shots I got from the shoot. He was absolutely adorable and his mother was really pretty so it made for a good session.

Here are some of my favorites!

Have a wonderful night!

Soooo long!

Well hello everyone,

It has literally been forever since I have posted a blog but a lot of exciting things have gone on! So here we go...

First of all the rest of my time in Maine was excellent, I really enjoyed all of the amazing people I got the chance to meet. I have thankfully made some great life long friends that I am missing very much at the moment. Durning my last week in Maine I took a trip to New York City to interview at Hearst. I was hesitant because it is another internship but it would be so worth it! A week after going to the interview I heard that I had got the internship! (Which is why I am in nyc now but we will get there) I debated for a bit about what to do, after talking to many people I wrote back that I gladly accepted the internship and would be there in 2 week.

Now it was crunch time, I had to move home from Maine, pack, move to New York and get settled in... in 2 week!

My 2 weeks at home were fantastic. I got to see all of my friends and was able to see one of my best friends, who has always been like a sister to me, get married! It was so fantastic to see her SO happy. I got to spend my last night with all of the people that meant so much to me. It was a fantastic experience and I wish Alayna and Kyle endless happiness!

So here I sit, two weeks and one day later in Manhattan blogging. Yesterday was my first day at Hearst. I can't say it was how I expected it to be but it was pretty amazing. I expected intimidating, Devil Wears Prada like coworkers. That was NOT the case at all. Everyone was so nice so far and it seems like such a great place to work. The photographers there are so kind and I am so happy I get to work with such great people!

Now on to some photographs after the very brief recap of my new life. In those two weeks I was home I got to photograph a beautiful women named Amanda. She was so great to be around and had and AWESOME personality that I LOVED! I finally got to somewhat edit them today so I figured I would post them since it has been almost 2 weeks since I photographed her. Thank you so much Amanda for getting in contact with me, you are amazing and I loved getting to work with you. I hope you like the images!

Here are some of my faves...

Vanessa & Casey

This weekend on August 8th I was honored to have shot the wedding of Vanessa and Casey. It was in fact my first solo wedding ever and it surprisingly went very smoothly. I can't say nothing went wrong but nothing went wrong anyone other than my assistant and I knew about. Sadly one thing that did happen was...my new 5d m2 broke. It was heartbreaking but it is getting sent back to be fixed very soon. Thankfully I was super crazy and brought 4 cameras along so we had an extra. My friend Amber was my assistant and she did really well for her first time shooting a wedding also. We worked well together and we made a game plan prior and pretty much stuck to it.

Vanessa and Casey are both beautiful people so getting images of them was no hard task. They have such great families that welcomed us into their lives on one of the most amazing days for them. It was much more rewarding then I would have ever thought it could be. During the ceremony when a tear fell from Vanessa's face I was probably one of the only people who could see it other than her new husband and her closest friends and family. To be a part of that is so remarkable. I wish Vanessa and Casey endless happiness and an amazing future together. They are truly a beautiful couple and I hope they enjoyed their day as much as I enjoyed mine.

The wedding was at Casey's parents house and they had amazing gardens and a beautiful house. The wedding was so bright and colorful, it was a perfect summer wedding.

Here are some of the images I have had a chance to process..

Vanessa had asked me to set up a photo booth and it was harder than expected. With a little bit of practice though we got it down. Thank you both for such an amazing day!
